Cannibal Campout review

:. Director: Tom Fisher
:. Starring: Jon McBride, Amy Chludzinski
:. Running Time: 1:29
:. Year: 1988
:. Country: USA

A crappy-looking gore fest dating back to the 80's, Cannibal Campout is the kind of amateur movie that you would shoot during a weekend in a forest with your friends and then watch for fun.

This is, however, not the kind of thing you would dare to release on DVD, with a lousy transfer, and then try to show the world.

I remember doing horror films of that quality when I was a 12-year old boy scout in France — I know French boy scouts must be pretty imaginative — and I could certainly do better now with my inexpensive digital camera.

Cannibal Campout is gross, but looks so amateur that there is absolutely no interest watching it, unless you were in it.

The slogan on the DVD says "friends don't let friend eat friends" but instead should read "friends don't let friends watch Cannibal Campout".
