Directed by Japanese sexploitation master, Noribumi Suzuki, School of the Holy Beast is probably one of the darkest and sadistic entries in the nunsploitation subgenre.

This tale of an apparently innocent nun entering convent offers a colorful gallery of cruel figures, from the mother superior to the archbishop.

As you would expect from this type of film, the menu includes various forms of torture and flagellation, including a pretty repulsive scene with rose thorns, while the usual lesbian twist is here to tease your fantasies.

But it's probably the amoral twist ending that makes School of the Holy Beast a classic in the sub-genre, bringing a psychological angle that surpasses all the visual shockers experienced earlier in the film.
