I guess there must be a new filmmaking trend associating babes with King Kong, as just after viewing Kinky Kong came Babes in Kong Land - if there's more films like this in the pipeline, maybe the always resourceful American Cinemathèque could organize a retrospective on the subject to vary from its usual Godzilla and Kung Fu programs.

With typical ingredients such as mad scientists, slutty amazons and a baboon wearing a Hawaiian shirt, Bakes in Kong Land aims at mixing eroticism, exotic locales and humor.

Using stock footage of an island and shot almost entirely in a fake grotto, Babes in Kong Land is as cheap as can be, looking rather like an unfunny experiment in extreme ugliness, whose impossible mission would be to try not to create arousal in its audience while showing nudity. Mission accomplished, as there is more excitement in watching the Candy Doll & Addie Morton trailers featured in the extras.
